We have a heart for people. From the nomadic tribesman wandering Kenya’s arid plains, to urban street children surviving in a sordid city slum, to a young Muslim woman living behind a veil of darkness in a community utterly closed to the light of the gospel—Africa Inland Mission, at its heart, seeks to help the Church take root among the peoples of Africa, transforming lives and communities, and becoming a force for change on the continent.
AIM is an evangelical Christian mission agency dedicated to the vision of seeing Christ-centered churches established among all African peoples. We have over 1,000 personnel ministering in Africa and to Africans living around the world. Our ministries include evangelism and church planting efforts among unreached and least-reached peoples, leadership development, youth ministry, medical ministry, community development and community health, and a broad range of support and logistical ministries.
In every ministry, we seek to work locally, building meaningful relationships that open doors—to introduce those who have never heard to the One who died to save them, to help new believers grow strong in their faith and be enfolded into maturing churches, and to declare the Glory of God to Africa and beyond.
Founded in 1895 AIM has more than a century of experience in African ministry. And today, we continue to build on that heritage while bringing new things to the task: new methodologies and technologies. But the key to reaching Africa remains the same—to join with God in what He is already doing on the continent and around the world: raising up thousands of African Christians to take the good news of Jesus Christ to the next generation and the ends of the earth.
Would you join with us? AIM offers opportunities to share in this work through giving and prayer, and by serving—from a few weeks to a lifetime.
