21 August 2009: Africa Inland Mission's air fleet, AIM-Air have resumed flying this week. This follows an interim investigation report into the fatal air crash in Nairobi on 1 August. Mission Safety International have given their blessing to the resumption of normal flying duities. A full accident report is still to come. The fleet was voluntarily grounded after the accident in which AIM-Air pilot Frank Toews died. Mechanic Ryan Williams later died from injuries. Two passengers survived the crash and have been discharged from hospital. Memorial services were held this month in Nairobi for Frank and Ryan. |
