Medical Elective training opportunites |
|
AIM can place Medical Elective students in one of a number of hospitals in Africa. We require people with a Chrstian commitment and their final years of their medical degree. Please inquire early. Some placements need to be amde 12 months in advance.

Multi-Media journalist/ photographer |
|
AIM's On-field Media Unit urgently requires a person skilled in either photography; videography or writing. Secondary skills of web development, graphic design and music composition are also sought. A minimum term of service is three months. Bring your own Mac computer.

Urgent: February 2010: Teachers needed |
|
Various priority teaching positons are available in Africa. These include:
Primary School teacher, Goli, Sudan: A primary school serving the children of staff and expatriate workers serving at Open Doors theological school requires a female teacher. The person needs qualifications and at least one year of teaching experience. They need to be prepared to serve in a remote rural setting. School-year is January to December.
Primary teachers for Madagascar Christian Academy: This school is one of three English-speaking schools in Madgascar. Ther are currently 40 students from preshool to grade 8. The person required is a native English-speaker; with a bachelor's degree and be prepraed to stay for six months or more. School-year is August to June.
South Horr boys school, Kenya: Two adventurous men are required with a passion for evangelism and discipleship of youth. South Horr seondary school is in outreach area of AIM. These positions are to impact young men through classroom teaching of Christian religious education and other academic subjects. A degree or diploma is required but applicants do not need to be qualified teachers. Prefered starting time is September 2010 and prefered duration is 12 months. Inquiries: AIM Australia.
Pre-school and Secondary teachers and youth workers are needed in Kahunda, Tanzania. A person is required to work in one of the preceeding areas -preshool, secondary or youth. A one-year commitment is required.
A Pre-school teacher will help this church-run school start a preschool department. A degree or ceritificate in early childhood education is required. A secondary teacher is requierd with an interest in discipling youth. A youth worker will teach conversational English, leading morning chapel or teach Bible studies. (Teaching qualifications are not required.)

February 2010:Urgent need: Social Worker for Uganda |
|
There is an urgent need for a social worker in Kampala, Uganda to work with our partner Dwelling Places. This peson will work with and train the socila work team at Dwelling Places. Areas of training include writing reports; following-up on resettled families; counselling youth going into independent living. We are seeking someone, preferably female, 27 years or older, to serve for a minimum of 12 months. Applicants need counselling skills / qualifications and/or a degree in social work or similar field. The needs include phsyiotherapists; nurses; occupational therapists; consultant obstretician / gynaecologist; consultant paediatrician; consultant general surgeon; family practice consultants; psychiatrists and therapists; and speech therapists. Teachers of English (TESOL) required |

New position December 2009: An English teacher is required for Madagascar. The position will train Malagasy adults in English and conduct English clubs for children. There is also potential to help start a church-based English-teaching program in another part of Madgascar. A TESOL certificate or degree and some teaching experience is prefered. Music teachers for Madagascar |

December 2009- urgent need: AIM requires teachers for the Anglican Music Institute in Madagascar for a school year of September to June. Needs include: 2 piano teachers; 1 male and 1 female voice teacher; a teacher of music theory and a teacher in music composition. Postions are unpaid, voluntary positions preferably for the entire school year. The AMI priovides Malagasy people with quality education in classical music and Christian discipleship. March 2010: AIM requires primary and secondary teachers to work in South Sudan.
A Presbyterian girls primary school requires teachers from April to December. Prefered time is 6 to 12 months with a minimum of 3 months. Trained teachers and untrained highschool graduates may be suitable.
A new Africa Inland Church secondary school requires trained and untrained teachers with highschool qualifications. Term 2 begins in Febraury 2010. A new senior groups commences in May 2010. Preferable term is 6-12 months with a minimum of 3 months.

Book-keeper needed in South Africa. |

March 2010 Urgent: AIM's South Region office based in Johannesburg requires a qualified book-keeper or accountant with hands-on experience. The person will be required to operate an exisiting computerised acounting sytem. This is an unpaid, voluntary short-term position for a minimum of 6 months. Volunteers for Australian office |
|
AIM Australia has openings for part-time / casual volunteers with skills in one or more of the following areas:
Desk-top publishing or graphic design; computer networks and internet management; administation; and bookkeeping. There are also openings for people to assist with preparing material for mail outs. Some assistance can be provided remotely via the internet.
