Africa Inland Mission has short and long-term assignments in a vast array of ministry roles. Tell us your ministry interests so we can together explore how God can use you to build His church in Africa. AIM’s Short Term "Ignite" program is designed for both teams and individuals. Offering a broad range of ministry assignments, Ignite provides an excellent opportunity to learn firsthand what missions is all about and to explore your role in God’s worldwide work.
Ignite assignments vary depending on your interests and the needs on the field. Learn more about Ignite short-term missions here. Full-term ministry is for those who want to invest in longer-term ministry. Ranging from a year to an entire career, AIM’s Full Term assignments enable believers to use their gifts, training and life experience to make a difference in world mission. Assignment types vary widely, but all contribute to AIM’s mission: building Christ-centred churches among all African peoples. Learn more about Full Term missions here. TIMO (Training in Ministry Outreach) is both a training course for new missionaries and an opportunity to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to one of Africa’s unreached or least-reached people groups. Teams consist of 6 to 12 members in addition to team leaders— usually an experienced missionary couple. Together, they live among a host people group for two years, learn mission outreach through a six-stage curriculum, and apply what they learn in their community on a daily basis.
