Motivated by James 1:27, one church in Rundu, Namibia is providing orphans with food, clothing and help with school fees.
Located near the lush banks of the Okavango River, the town of Rundu is home to Kaisosi Evangelical Bible Church (EBC).  It is also home to numerous orphans and vulnerable children due, largely, to the HIV pandemic.

Kaisosi EBC has initiated a project to provide food, clothing and Christian teaching to local orphans and vulnerable children. The program also strives to provide proper hygeine and medical care, and to enrol these children in school.kaisosi2.jpg "We are in the midst of constructing a soup kitchen, classroom, and bathing facility," says missionary Dr. Rob Greidanus.

Ultimately it aims to show them that they are valued children of God, embraced by the love of Christ.

This project falls under the vision and direction of Kaisosi EBC. "AIM's role is to work alongside the national church," says Greidanus, "providing leadership training and [playing an] equipping role."

"Missionaries are also helping the church think creatively to develop self-sustaining aspects to the project (such as a garden, poultry, and sewing projects) to make it viable for the distant future and independent of overseas funding."

Please contact AIM Canada or email missionary Dr. Rob Greidanus for more information.
