Missionary Jordan Scotland teaching Bible in the shade of a mango treeDeep in the turbulent wilds of southern Sudan, Rev. Tobiolo dreamt of discipling and training  a fresh team of evangelists to reach the un-reached tribal groups of East Equatoria.

After years of planning, Tobiolo’s dream became reality as men from eight church districts convened at the Lobwaye Leadership Training Centre (LTC) in January. Young Sudanese church leaders are being equipped with Bible knowledge, carpentry and brick-making.Canadian missionaries Jordan and Andrea Scotland joined pastor Tobiolo at the base of the Imatong Mountains and helped equip the young Christ-followers with Bible knowledge, carpentry and brick-making. Lobwaye LTC teaches vocational training so that, like the Apostle Paul, evangelists will rely on themselves for financial support.

“Pray that the program will go on!” says AIM missionary Linda Byler. “Pray for these men who have begun a new way of thinking, studying, and working.  Pray for their mentors and their home churches, as this is new territory for them also.”
