Mulli Children's Family - Greenhouse Expansion |

Greenhouses on Mulli's property are already a major source of revenue. Mulli is planning to build four more in 2007/2008. The Mulli Children's Family (MCF) was established by Kenyan businessman Charles Mulli as a refuge for orphans and vulnerable children.
Abandoned himself as a child, Mulli was touched by the hundreds of destitute youth he saw living off the streets of Nairobi. In 1989 he sold his bus company in order to establish a refuge.
The Mulli Children Family (MCF) provides basic needs and education for over
1200 children. Today the Mulli Children Family (MCF) provides for the basic needs and education of over
1200 children. More importantly, they learn of Christ's love in daily Bible studies and at church on Sunday. Over 1600 graduates have successfully integrated back into the community-- some equipped with vocational skills, others with university degrees.
Since the number of orphans and vulnerable children continues to grow in Kenya, the Mulli Children's Family is always expanding. In order to continue to grow while relying less and less on donors (MCF is already 50 per cent self-supported), Mulli uses MCF property to grow beans for European export.
This year Mulli is constructing four new greenhouses. The project includes a new irrigation system, and will significantly increase MCF exports and revenue-- as well as Mulli's ability to help more kids.
