The CECA-20 Church hosts workshops and seminars to promote tribal unity
Nearly four million people died as a result of DR Congo’s 10-year war-- the deadliest conflict since World War II.


Today there is tenuous peace, but distrust and hatred is still rife among Congo’s 200 ethnic groups. Congolese Christians have not been immune; The war’s butchery of husbands, wives and innocent children has left gaping wounds among the living—impossible wounds for those unwilling to forgivethe war’s butchery of husbands, wives and innocent children has left gaping wounds among the living—impossible wounds for those unwilling to forgive.

Today CECA-20 (AIM’s partner church in Congo) is working with pastors to promote Church and Christian unity through interactive workshops, seminars, and pastoral training. It’s a costly ministry, with transportation being one of the chief expenses. Yet this work is crucial if the Congolese church hopes to demonstrate forgiveness amongst a bruised, weary and violent generation.
