Job Profile

Title: Human Resources Manager
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Goals: This position is responsible for all aspects of the Human Resouces of International Services (IS). The vision of the unit is to provide the necessary logistical support for the  mission community
Duration: 3 years
Tasks:
1. Oversee  personnel issues including but not limited to hiring, firing,
                performance appraisals, benefits, payroll (for employed staff), staff
                handbook, policies and procedures, induction and orientation
            2. Oversee the housing for volunteer missionary personnel   
            3. Oversee the BAF committee and benevolent Committees
Ministry Opportunities: Involvemnent is possible outside the job, but this is not directly related to the position
Plans for nationalizing: You will teach and mentor individuals within the department to accomplish the goal of nationalization

Person Profile

Responsible to: IS Director
Qualifications: i) Bachelor of Science with a Human Resource Management Emphasis/
                        ii) Associate of Arts in Business Administration (AABA) with a
                            concentration in Human Resources/
                        iii) Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a
                            concentration in Human Resource Management/
                        iv) Equivalent management experience in the field of HR.
Desired qualifications: Master of Business Administration with a Human resources Management specialization with 5+ years of management experience in HR
Required experience: 2+ years experience in HR, suprevision of staff, staff training (mentoring), basic involvement in financial management
Desired experience: 5+ years experience in HR, supervision, staff trainig (mentoring), management of the finances of departments under his/her supervision (Thorough understanding of departmental proft/loss)    
Pre-posting language required: English level 3 minimum
Ministry language required: English/ Swahili
Non-academic requirements: Servant, learner attitude, team player, self motivated and able to work with little direction, value role of support-based ministry
