Job Profile

Position: Relief & Development Program Officer
Location: Scarborough, Ontario - Canada
Salary: The candidate who qualifies for this position will be required to raise support to
            cover salary and employment costs

Focus
The principle focus of the Relief & Development Program Officer is to assist the Relief & Development Director in advancing AIM’s overall ministry purpose, with responsibilities in the following areas:
-    Fundraising and donor relations for AIM relief and development projects
-    Capacity building for community development within AIM
-    Monitoring AIM Canada relief and development projects
-    Analysing the impact of AIM Canada’s past projects and making recommendations
     for improvement in future partnerships

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-    Strong administration skills
-    Strong written and oral communication
-    Confident fundraising ability
-    Event planning
-    Public speaking
-    Fluency in French

Education/Training
-    International Project Management (project life cycle, proper financial controls,
     monitoring and evaluation, report/proposal writing, results-based management, etc.)
-    Community Development
-    Donor Relations (in combination with one of the above)

Valuable Experience
-    Community development project management – design, implementation,
     monitoring, evaluation
-    Fundraising within a charity or Christian ministry
-    Writing successful proposals for project grants
-    Familiarity with requirements and tools for environmental assessment, gender
     analysis, data collection
-    Experience working with CIDA and other large donors
