I have a friend

I have a friend

I have a friend with whom I can speak Arabic sometime but we don’t meet so often. She is 28 years old, she graduated as engineer but she doesn’t have a serious job.

Now, she works at a school like a helper. One time she was so upset because they didn’t pay her every month the same amount. She is not married and for a 28 years old woman here is so disaster to not be married.

One time when I was with her to shop, she asked me to go with her to a woman to guess her the future. I was so surprised, but I went with her. All the time I was thinking to ask the father for protection during the time there. I didn’t understand what that woman said to her, then my friend paid her and we left. I told her after that was not good what she was doing, we had another hope in Him. She didn’t understand too much. She asked me to tell nothing to her sisters. I was feeling so bad for her. She is so lost. Her family is very traditionalist family. They keep their rules very strictly. I love her family.

I wish that my friend to see the joy of our Father on my face. I wish to tell her how great is our father.

Aim International’s members work in a number of countries where, for the sake of national Christians, other expatriate Christian workers and their own safety, it would not be wise to publicise their presence.
However, this does not mean that workers in these countries do not need our prayers. So how can we pray when specific information is hard to come by? Here are three areas that may help.

Language and Culture

It is essential that workers learn the language of the people and become acquainted with their culture, so that culturally-sensitive means of sharing the gospel can be developed. Pray that workers may learn quickly.

Relationships

While relationships are a vital factor in spreading the gospel worldwide, this is even more important in countries where public means of preaching are out of the question. Pray that good relationships would be developed between workers and seekers.

Protection

In many of these countries, the persecution of Christians is simply an accepted element of state or religious law and workers literally place their lives on the line for the sake of the gospel. Pray that God would keep them safe.
