Tuesday was another quiet day in Kenya. There was no report of any violent clashes in the country although some areas in Western and Rift Valley continue to remain tense.

Heavy fighting in the capital Ndjamena since Sunday has caused many deaths and extensive destruction of the infrastructure. Looting has been rife.

Tomorrow the mediation talks are expected to continue after taking a break over the weekend. Continue to pray for these talks to provide a platform for a stable government.

Friday was generally calm throughout Kenya. There were no reports of riots or violent clashes. However there was still a tension in the air.

The events in Kenya yesterday were on a smaller scale than the last few days. That is good news. Nairobi and other major towns around the country seemed to carry out business on a fairly normal basis.

This morning we woke up to the news that a newly elected Member of Parliament, Melitus Magabe Were, from the ODM Party had been killed at 12:30am outside of his gate in a nearby Nairobi neighborhood.
