The following statement was issued by a spokesman from Aim's Nairobi-based Crisis Management Team (CMT).

Tomorrow the mediation talks are expected to continue after taking a break over the weekend. Continue to pray for these talks to provide a platform for a stable government.

Sunday was mostly quiet in Kenya. Certainly Nairobi was calm.

However there were reports of continued fighting and tensions in scattered locations in Western and Rift Valley Provinces. But it does not seem to be wide-spread. The local media is reporting that the number of internally displaced people (IDPs) is continuing to grow nation-wide.

Tomorrow the mediation talks are expected to continue after taking a break over the weekend. Continue to pray for these talks to provide a platform for a stable government.
