UPDATE: It is with sadness of heart that since this report was written Ryan Williams has passed away. Specialists realised that his burns were more serious than they originally thought and, despite fighting to the end, he succumbed to his injuries. Please pray for Dawn and her four children as they grieve. The European office of AIM would like to pass on its condolences to the family of Frank Toews, who died on Saturday 1st August, at 2.30 pm. He was an AIM AIR pilot in a plane that crashed into a block of houses in the Kibera slum, Nairobi. We are thankful that no residents were injured. Our prayers are especially with his wife, Tiffany, and four children during this time of mourning. Our thoughts are also with AIM AIR mechanic Ryan Williams, who was in the plane at the time. He is currently receiving medical attention in Nairobi after sustaining a fractured pelvis, multiple contusions and significant burns. His wife and four children are supporting him at this time. European Director, Andrew Chard, expressed the office’s sadness: “Our sympathy goes out to Tiffany and the family as they mourn the loss of Frank. May they know the strength that comes from the Lord (Psalm46) and the support of all of us here at AIM Europe.” The two passengers who survived, Dan Parris and Rob Lehr, were on a documentary project on behalf of Conversant Life. NTV Kenya reported on the accident, which can be viewed below:
