Mobilisers Print E-mail

'Mobilisers' is the title we use to describe those who have followed God's call into those ministries which, though largely unseen, are vital to the effectiveness of world mission. Such mobilising ministries are diverse, ranging from preaching on world mission in churches, through the recruiting and pastoral care of missionaries, to the production and sharing of prayer information, the stewardship of gifts and all the associated support services.

When Paul wrote to the Corinthians he reminded them of Titus. Titus had performed a similar and important spiritual service in partnership with Paul. Together they sought to make the needs of God's worldwide church known and then use the gifts sent from Christians in one place to support those in another in an honourable and effective way. Paul makes it clear that Titus' ministry is as worthy of support and thanks to God as any other. In many ways the example of Titus illustrates our mobilising ministries. We aim to serve God just as enthusiastically and conscientiously as Titus did, trusting God that our ministries will likewise be useful. Also, like Titus, we cannot succeed without those who support us. Partners, who pray for us and support us, are vital if we are to be effective in what God has called us to do.

Some things don’t change

In times of change there are some important things that don’t change. One of these is prayer. Missionaries ‘in the field’ have always depended on the prayer support from individuals as well as prayer groups. We in Aim, would love to have each of our supporters involved with a prayer group.
