Steve preaching

Apart of Steve's work is preaching and speaking in churches and other meetings

Steve Lancaster is Area Director for South west England and South Wales. Steve is a graduate of All Nations Christian College in Hertfordshire, where he spent three years on the biblical and Intercultural Studies course. Before this, he spent eighteen months on a missionary training course based in Zambia and, prior to this, was a local government officer in the north west of England, involved in environmental management. Steve’s love of Africa, and a desire to see people introduced to African mission, has seen him involved in various trips to Zimbabwe, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique and Malawi. Steve is passionate about teaching the missional basis of the Bible and getting folk involved in world mission.

The work of an Area Director is varied and challenging and includes:

  • Preaching and speaking in churches and other meetings
  • Making the Mission’s work known in churches, schools, colleges, prayer groups etc...
  • arranging regional conferences
  • encouraging and advising missionaries
  • processing enquiries and applications for overseas service
  • maintaining and strengthening links with sending churches
  • keeping in regular contact with prayer groups and providing information

As with those who go overseas Steve is dependent on both the prayer and financial support of God’s people. This has been demonstrated to produce a strong partnership between prayerful givers and those they support.

No Condition is Permanent

The heading above was a slogan I once saw painted on a truck in the north of Nigeria. Maybe not always true, but certainly often and one example of this is the recently announced departure of our UK Director, John Brand. Download the whole newsletter.
