IT Department Manager in Kenya/Nairobi (International Services)To manage all the aspects of the Information Technology Department. This includes leadership of personnel, networks and internet needs, hardware repair and maintenance, software maintenance and upgrades, all communications, website support, ensuring the organisation stays current in its technological needs, technology consulting. There are further opportunities for administrative ministries in Kenya, Uganda and DR Congo. This is a non-salaried position. HIV/Aids Trainer in N’Djamena/ChadTo educate the church concerning a Christian response to HIV/AIDS, to train national HIV/AIDS workers and provide resources for the church in response to HIV/AIDS. There are further opportunities for HIV/Aids ministry in Uganda, CAR, Namibia and Madagascar. This is a non-salaried position. Pilot/Mechanic based in South Sudan (International Services)To help provide a safe, reliable and economical air transport service within the goals of AIM Air. Children's worker in Beira/MozambiqueTeach children via Sunday School and other weekly meetings, train Mozambican teachers these skills in children's work. There are further opportunities for children’s ministries in Uganda, Madagascar and DR Congo.
Children's Evangelist in MadagascarTrain children's ministry leaders who can train others, work alongside existing churches and groups who are reaching children. Target street children and those who suffer due to the scourge of HIV/AIDS and reach them with the gospel. There are further opportunities for children’s ministries in Uganda, Mozambique and DR Congo. These are non-salaried positions. Leadership Trainer/Evangelist in Toliara/MadagascarTrain leaders and help establishing new churches. This is for someone with a degree or diploma in Theology with the willingness to learn language and local culture and with respect for church traditions and authority. There are further opportunities for leadership trainers/coordinators and evangelists in Uganda, Kenya, Chad and Namibia.
Discipleship Worker/Trainer in Arusha/TanzaniaWork alongside a local pastor, train AICT Christians to use Theological Education by Extension and other discipleship methods, demonstrate and model these skills. There are further opportunities for church workers and discipleship workers in Kenya, Uganda, Madagascar, Namibia.
Church planter in Sakuye/Boran in KenyaLearn the language and culture, develop relationships with local people leading to personal evangelism, get involved in youth, children's and women's work as opportunity arises. There are further opportunities for church planters in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Madagascar, CAR, Chad and on the islands of the Indian Ocean. These are non-salaried positions. Secondary School Teacher in Adja/DR CongoBesides teaching in school, a major element of the assignment would be to work with teachers and students in a discipleship ministry, with a view to establishing an ongoing discipling ministry to continue after departure. There are further opportunities for Secondary School teachers in Namibia, Sudan, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.
Primary School Teacher in Moshemong/LesothoTeach grade 4-7 in the new Moshemong Primary School using government supplied curriculum and syllabus; prepare lesson plans, visual aids etc related to class and attend workshops and other activities as required by the school. There are further opportunities for Primary School teachers in Namibia, Tanzania and Uganda.
ESL/TEFL Teacher in Beira/MozambiqueTeach English as a Second/Foreign language in Sofala Bible Institute. Develop contacts with students out of class, teach English in Pastors' school to Bible Institute students and also to those from the local community as a means of outreach. There are further opportunities for ESL/TEFL teachers in Chad, Sudan, Namibia and Uganda.
Primary/Sec School Teacher on Ssese Islands/UgandaContribute through teaching/education in the Ssese Islands towards the establishing of viable fellowship groups of believers in the fishing camps. Teach in mobile primary and secondary schools and get involved in discipleship and evangelism. There are further opportunities for both primary and secondary school teachers in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia and Sudan.
English Teacher for missionary children in Kampala/UgandaAllow more missionary families to work in Uganda by educating their children and evangelise the 30% of the school population from non-Christian homes. Tasks involve 1. Teaching lessons 2. Plan program of study employing a variety of instructional aides, methods and materials to meet individual needs, interests and abilities of students 3. Assess the learning of all students on a regular basis 4. Maintain accurate attendance and grade records and informing parents, students and administration of problems as they arise. There are further opportunities for teachers of MKs (missionary kids) in Kenya and Tanzania. Subjects include Maths, Music, Bible, Science, Special Needs, Physical Education and others. Builder/Mechanic along the Chari River/ChadThe goal of this assignment is to facilitate missionaries to unreached people groups along the Chari River. Oversee the construction of buildings and airstrips for new missionary team members, take opportunities for evangelism and discipleship and offer technical assistance and help for maintenance of vehicles, solar equipment and radios. There are further long-term opportunities for builders in Mozambique, Uganda and Tanzania. This is a non-salaried position. Finance Trainer in Bunia/DR CongoTrain the church’s present financial administration team in the central offices and establish structures/procedures to ensure adequate training in the future. Medical Doctor in Rafai/CARThis assignment involves practical training of medical personnel, including some surgery and visitation to the different medical centres of the church. The goal is to develop the level of medical care of the population and to improve the quality of practical training of the existing medical staff. There are further opportunities for medical doctors in Lesotho, Namibia, Uganda and Kenya. Nurse Tutor in Kuluva/UgandaThis assignment involves qualified teaching (tutoring) for 70+ students from a variety of backgrounds on a 2_ year training course, Bible teaching among the students and evening Bible studies/discipleship. The school is owned and operated by the Anglican Church. Evangelism is a stated goal in this area. There are further opportunities for nurses and/or nursing tutors in Uganda, Kenya, Chad and Sudan. Bible teacher in Moffat/KenyaTrain and disciple mature Christian leaders by providing them with solid Biblical Education thus enabling them to reach out to unreached peoples. This involves visiting, supervising/mentoring the students in their assigned areas during "term out", teaching of general Bible and cross cultural mission courses as well as involvement in the local church. There are many opportunities for Bible teachers in various countries, such as Tanzania, Uganda, Mozambique, Namibia, CAR, DR Congo. This is a non-salaried position. TIMO Team Member in Nairobi/KenyaTIMO stands for Training in Ministry Outreach and is a two year programme for training people in the area of cross-cultural ministry while working with an un-churched people group. Though providing training, the ultimate objective is to actually plant and establish a working and ministering church. This particular team will reach out to a people group in Nairobi from a Muslim background.
