Hello, my name is Jim Long. I serve as the AIM-US Church Relations Coordinator. For 17 years my wife Kathy and I served at Rift Valley Academy (RVA), in Kijabe, Kenya. During our Home Assignment years, I was a teacher and then a vice-principal in the Kokomo, Indiana, public school system for a total of 15 years. I have also had the pleasure of serving as interim pastor in five small churches over the years. During our time at RVA, Kathy and I were dorm parents, class sponsors, and Sunday School teachers. I taught science and Bible, directed the Guidance department, served as vice-principal, principal, and for our last five years, (1998-2003) served as RVA's superintendent. Kathy and I have been blessed with four children and ten grandchildren. Our life verse is Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” I look forward to serving pastors, mission committees, missionaries and others from the Church Relations position as we work together to fulfill AIM's purpose to "go and make disciples..." Matthew 28:19,20. |
