Tanzania East Unit Leaders, Tony & Cath Swanson, serving in Morogoro have recently been busy teaching seminars and conferences. Cath has been training teachers from the diocese how to run youth camps, while Tony recently ran the Langham Partnership conference which has the goal of motivating and equipping people to do expository biblical preaching. Pray that the Swansons will be able to maintain their focus in the busyness, and give their best effort to every task before them. |

More than 5,000 homeless children and youth are on the streets in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Pray for Kathleen Quellmalz as she works in the streets, prisons, and psychiatric facilities with these young people, seeking to meet their spiritual and physical needs, and either reconnecting them with their families or finding other families who are willing to take them in. Pray for Kathleen to establish and maintain strong relationships with the children and community leaders. |

While a power-sharing agreement reached in recent months in the country of Kenya seems to have quelled the violence, the effects of the ethnic and tribal divisions will be long lasting. Over 1000 Kenyans were killed and up to 500,000 displaced. Just below Kijabe is the Mahi Mahiu refugee camp housing 500 Kenyans who have been driven from their homes, most with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. Pray for the church in Kenya as they respond with God’s love in the aftermath of the political crisis. Pray for true peace and reconciliation that will reach to the deeper “root issues” of the matter. Pray for AIM missionaries to have wisdom and strength to help in appropriate ways. |

Pray as well for short term missionaries who can help the Wiltons with equipment repairs. Continue to pray for lasting peace accords in Congo and that the Congolese people will have the opportunity to rebuild communities, and plant and harvest their crops.
