Brad Carreker, science teacher, activities director, and dorm parent at Rift Valley Academy (RVA) was happy to be able to serve AIMers in Mozambique during their annual conference by running the youth program.  Pray for Brad as he prepares to return to the US this summer.  He will need to find a job and a place to live, and is praying about adopting a child.  Ask God to give good closure to his time at RVA and wisdom for his future.

In 2008 the Christian college movement “Passion” will gather university students in 18 influential cities around the world for global conferences.  Pray this weekend as a “Passion” conference comes to Kampala, Uganda.  Pray that Ugandan students will catch the vision to magnify God by knowing and enjoying Him, using their gifts to build up the local church, praying for unity among Christian students, sharing Jesus’ love, praying for revival, and participating in God’s global purposes.

The Chalbi Training in Ministry Outreach (TIMO) team arrived in Kalacha, Kenya, last month and has been busy settling in and learning about their new environment.  Pray for team leaders, Scott and Susie Hampton with their three boys and new team members as they learn to live and minister in this difficult climate.  Pray for open, receptive hearts for the Gabbra and Boran people they will be serving.

Last year brought a big move for retiree Thelma Brown, who left her home in Richmond, Virginia, to move in with her sister Mandy at a retirement center in Northern Florida.  Thelma praises the Lord for visitors, especially missionary friends from her days at Eldama Ravine in Kenya.  Pray for Thelma to find ministry opportunities in her new setting.  She asks for prayer that she will soon be able to get a new computer and internet connection in order to better stay in touch with friends and supporters. 

Retirees Rusty & Carol Baker have had a year of reminiscing as they attended reunions of family, Rift Valley Academy staff and students, and Philadelphia Biblical University alumni.  They are staying busy at AIM’s Retirement Center in Florida, where they are happy to plan activities and events for the residents, and send out regular updates to AIM prayer groups.  Pray for the Bakers as they serve in their local church by teaching and leading Awanas and Ladies ministry.  They ask us to pray for their three sons-in-law who are facing health challenges.

For the past six months AIM Care’s Tumaini Counseling Center in Nairobi, Kenya has been searching for a general manager to take over administrative duties so that the counseling staff can concentrate on their counseling, training, and teaching responsibilities.  Praise the Lord that appointees Chris and Wendy Roche with their six children have been appointed to serve in this vital role.  Pray for the Roches as they look to God to build their prayer and financial support network in order to enable them to depart by October.  Pray for the children to adjust well as they anticipate all the changes that this new role will mean for them. 

Planning to serve on the Madagascar Training in Ministry Outreach (TIMO) team next year, Appointees Joe & Sandy Andrzejewski with their three children are praising God for how He is opening doors and helping them to make contacts.  They are thankful for all of the wonderful people that they have met since they have started this adventure in missions.  Please pray with the Andrzejewskis as they home school their children and keep a busy schedule of finishing school, working, and speaking engagements.  They need to sell their house before their departure, and ask us to pray for wisdom in all of the decisions that they are making.
