Wednesday, 07 May 2008

James and Andrea McAdam praise the Lord for the opportunity God has given them to reach African students with the gospel through education as they teach science and math at the Ushindi Secondary School in Arua, Uganda.  Please pray for the McAdams as they assist with the Scripture Union (SU) program at the school and give spiritual encouragement to both staff and students.  They are praising God for students who have been taking their SU reading notes back to their villages to share with family and friends.

Monday, 05 May 2008

Serving the Lord in Adi, D. R. Congo, Glenn & Sandra Wilton praise God for the sixteen books they have been able to print with their copy printer equipment.  Pray with them for wisdom in selling these materials to help cover printing costs and enable them to print additional books.  Pray as well for short term missionaries who can help the Wiltons with equipment repairs.  Continue to pray for lasting peace accords in Congo and that the Congolese people will have the opportunity to rebuild communities, and plant and harvest their crops.

LeaderLink Conference Print E-mail
Saturday, 03 May 2008

Please pray for the Nairobi LeaderLink Conference which begins this weekend.  Pray that God would use the meetings this coming week to further develop leadership gifts and promote understanding within the mission community in East Africa.  Pray that people would be encouraged to attend despite recent political uncertainties in Kenya, and that the teaching will be contextual and relevant.  Ask God to help LeaderLink participants to apply the teaching they receive to their lives and ministries.

AIM’s Adopt-A-People program Print E-mail
Friday, 02 May 2008

Over 1,000 people groups in Africa are yet to have a meaningful encounter with the gospel.  AIM’s Adopt-A-People program has identified 30 of these unreached people groups in Africa, and is seeking to match them with interested churches.  Pray for Brian and Nancy Hoffman as they work in the US with the Adopt-A-People program.  Pray for the spread of the gospel in difficult and remote areas and “creative access nations.”  AIM missionaries working with unreached people groups would value your prayers for language and culture study and creative ideas to help them explain the gospel.

Thursday, 01 May 2008

Rosemary Scott is serving as the Deputy Associate Director for Personnel in AIM’s International Office in Bristol, England.  She is grateful to God for the way the three- stage orientation for new AIM members is coming together.  Rosemary is praising God for the production of a resource CD that is now available for new missionaries when they arrive at their ministry assignment.  Please pray for the personnel department as they monitor and evaluate this helpful new tool.  Pray as well for Rosemary as she follows up on discussions that were held at the Personnel Officers Forum last week.

Larry and Carol Bardwell Print E-mail
Wednesday, 30 April 2008

“We love it here in snowy Spokane,” retirees Larry and Carol Bardwell write.  They enjoy the activities and friends from the “New Beginnings” seniors group at their church.  Carol was able to get her nursing license for Washington State, and is looking for an opportunity to use her skills.  God is using Larry to mentor young boys through the Boy Scout program each week.  Pray that the Bardwells would be a blessing to all they meet.
