Larry and Carol Bardwell Print E-mail
Wednesday, 30 April 2008

“We love it here in snowy Spokane,” retirees Larry and Carol Bardwell write.  They enjoy the activities and friends from the “New Beginnings” seniors group at their church.  Carol was able to get her nursing license for Washington State, and is looking for an opportunity to use her skills.  God is using Larry to mentor young boys through the Boy Scout program each week.  Pray that the Bardwells would be a blessing to all they meet.

Don and Anne Baker Print E-mail
Tuesday, 29 April 2008

Retirees Don and Anne Baker are living at AIM’s retirement center at Media.  They enjoy being closer to their family.  Anne is praising the Lord for receiving her permanent residency which enables her to return to visit family and friends in Canada.  She is still serving as the volunteer coordinator for Christ’s Hope International and is nearly done with a Kiswahili manuscript she has been typing for them.  Don continues to work two days a week as well.  Pray for the Bakers as they serve the Lord faithfully as He gives them opportunities.

Praising God for the way He has led her, Appointee Delicia Roberson is looking forward to serving at HOPAC in Tanzania.  Last fall she left her job as a children’s minister in Illinois to move closer to her family in Evansville, Indiana.  She is currently teaching at five different elementary schools in the area.  Pray that Delicia’s support team be finalized in time for her departure in July.  Pray for special times with family in these last few months at home.

Let’s pray together for Jon Egeler, and his wife Pam, who serve through Mission Safety International (MSI) in Tennessee to provide services to keep the missions community safe and secure.  Pray for Jon and MSI as they offer safety consultations and seminars, security audits, and conduct research and development to meet the safety needs of mission aviation departments around the world.

Ted and Martha Barnett Print E-mail
Friday, 25 April 2008

U.S. Director Dr. Ted Barnett and his wife Martha desire to live in the fullness and flow of God’s Spirit as they juggle many ministry responsibilities.  Pray with them that they would seek the Lord above all else and put God’s agenda first.  They are praising the Lord for His provision for the U.S. Retirement Center project and ask us to pray that the Lord will supply the remainder that is needed.  Let’s also remember their son-in-law Hector and daughter Jennifer as Hector returns from Iraq in the next few months and readjusts to family and life in the U.S.
