On this final day of February 2008, Darlene Noden is handing over to Pam Hill the compiling of Fuel for Prayer Fires.  Pray for Pam as she keeps up to date on what is going on with ministries in Africa as well as in mobilizing units, and prepares prayer materials to encourage faithful prayer supporters throughout the U.S. and other countries receiving the monthly Fuels. Thanks to each of you who faithfully pray for AIM and missionary personnel involved in ministries throughout 18 countries in Africa and in the U.S. Together, may we see “God’s greatness and mighty hand” at work in new ways in the days ahead.

Thankful for God’s faithfulness during several months of recent transition, retirees Marian Gibbon and Norma Kelly are settling in and enjoying times of fellowship with others at AIM’s U.S. Retirement Center (Minneola, FL).  Continue to pray for good adjustment and that they will be guided by the Lord in choosing the ministry opportunities in which He would have them be involved.

Following several years back in the U.S. for the sake of their children and to allow time for Linda to complete her nursing degree, Ken and Linda Wiley have reactivated with AIM and are looking forward to serving again with AIM TECH.  Their departure date is set for mid-May following their daughter’s wedding.  Pray for them as they renew partnership relationships and prepare to return and be involved in ministry projects where technical and medical help are needed.

Missionaries Between Assignments Allan and Christy Brain with young son Gavin are giving praise for God’s faithfulness during these months He has given them to recover and seek His face for future direction.  God wonderfully provided a missionary home through a church in Roanoke, VA, and they have enjoyed involving themselves in ministry there.  Pray for daily peace, encouragement, patience, and a renewed focus on the Lord that they might learn all God has for them during this time.

Give praise for over 20 missionaries involved in a special ministry of reaching Africans in the U.S. In recent months, Scott and Debbie Whitehurst, who found it necessary to return to the U.S. from Chad, have joined this team.  Based in Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN, Scott is involved in ministering to internationals in the area while Debbie and an African worker have begun a Firm Foundations Bible Study.  Pray for guidance in helping Africans and other internationals in practical ways, in sharing the Gospel, and in discipling those who know Christ.

New As Ron and Darlene Brock continue to serve at AIM’s Headquarters in Pearl River, NY, they are grateful for the ministries God has given them. As Administrator of Missionary Relations, Darlene enjoys assisting and giving care to missionaries in their ministries and as they come for home assignments. As Church Relations Coordinator, Ron has been contacting churches that support missionaries and building relationships with pastors and church mission personnel to encourage greater partnership in ministry. Pray for enabling, wisdom in interacting and communicating, and encouragement in ministry.

Reflecting on the past year of many transitions, Simon and Leanne F. are full of praise for God’s faithfulness in Simon’s recovery from back surgery, for guiding them through a change in assignment with AIM, and for working out details of where to live and schools for their children.  They are now in Marseilles, France, settling into life and ministry among immigrants from Indian Ocean islands.  Pray for continuing adjustments, good relationships, and fruitfulness in ministry.
