There are some exciting things happening all over the continent of Africa, and the Lord is raising up some amazing indigenous African missions. Below is a list of some contacts you might find helpful as you seek to serve the Lord in mission. Please contact one of them directly, and let them know of your particular interest and calling to mission.
1. Calvary Ministries/CAPRO Calvary Ministries (CAPRO) is a non-denominational global Christian missionary movement of African origin, taking the gospel to the remaining unevangelised parts of the world. Their passion is to make Christ known where he is yet to be known. They have established a work in East Africa (known in Kenya as Christ’s Mission to the Unreached – CMU) and have a growing team of missionaries in Kenya reaching out to unreached peoples and engaging in mobilisation activities. 2. The Sheepfold Ministries Sheepfold has its HQ in Nairobi and they have over 80 missionaries working all over East Africa. Sheepfold Office, Nairobi: 254 20 605789.
3. Mission Together Africa (MTA) Mission Together Africa (MTA) is a mission initiative seeking to catalyse mission movement in Africa through networking, connecting and sharing of resources. www.missiontogether-africa.org
4. Finish the Task Afriserve (FTT) FTT focuses on mobilising and equipping the church in Kenya for mission. FTT also runs a school of mission. 5. SMEET (Mission Board of the Evangelical Church of Tchad) AIM has worked closely with SMEET for many years particularly at the mission’s school of missions at Ba Illi.
6. AIC Missionary Board. This is the mission board of the Africa Inland Church in Kenya. Their address is: AICMB, P.O. Box 45019, 00100, Nairobi, Kenya
7. Evangelical Missionary Society of ECWA Established in 1948 as the missionary arm of the ECWA churches of Nigeria, EMS has over 1600 missionaries. Contact: PO Box 63, Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria.
